It sounds like it makes the clutch pedal heavier?

My biggest complaint is the engagement point. I wonder if I could put some kind of 1/2 inch spacer in the travel of the clutch pedal so that the pedal stops 1/2 before the end of its stock travel which would effectively adjust the engagement point by 1/2 inch.

Anyone try this?

EDIT: It seems a lot of people in that thread just removed the helper spring rather than replace it. Whats the advantage to replacing vs removing it?
