Today we had the pleasure to complete the first ever Cobb tune on a USDM 2013 GT-R. This one is Ryan@Forged's Deep Blue Pearl Black Edition which we just received from Boulder Nissan on Saturday. There was only 20 miles on the ticker when we got started. As with any new engine, we used our load bearing Dyno Dynamics to break-in the engine. Immediately after we did our baseline pull. The car was still pretty hot from the initial break-in, so the numbers were down just a touch from where they normally would be due to heatsoak. We expect it would have put down around 430 whp or so if we had let the car cool down, but we were very short on time. Our guys quickly got to work adding the first round of modifications to the car. For this round we added a full exhaust, injectors, and fuel pumps. We are still running on the stock air boxes. After only a few pulls, Sharif was able to pull 502 whp and around 515 ft/lb tq @ 18.5 psi. As you can see from the graph, we were able to pull almost 150whp and around 180 ft/lb tq in the mid-range! The car may have a little more left in it, but we really want to add a set of intakes before pushing it any further. We are very happy with the results. Stay tuned as we add some more upgrades in the coming weeks. Mod list and pictures below!
