very true. i wiped off the engine bay every time i washed my G this winter.
that salt is like a magnet to the panels... feels like sand paper after driving. it sticks to the rear bumper the worst cause vapor from exhaust the first 10-15min of driving....
G's looking good for a 8yr old car. i checked the frame, pinch rails (i washed that with my wheel brush each time) exhaust piping... couldn't find accelerated corrosion. i will put her on ramps and do any rustoleum touchup on the undercarriage when it gets warmer though.
i think her wear is equivalent to a one year old car used daily.
