None the less, they probably found no symptoms of failure in the head to denote a full long block. Heads (especially in this car) are expensive, not to mention the intake manifold and other goodies. They simply wont change that out unless they know they have to.

You can pound your fists all your want, but unless he can prove damage to the top end, he's not getting it.
