Sounds like you have no idea which way to go.

Car pc's are pretty dated with tablets being out and at full strength.

It all depends on what your trying to get out of your system. If you just want pandora and have a iphone than a good head unit is all you need. If you have a android phone wait for the new models to come out and they will be able to control your android phone.

If your looking for something that can store music and surf the web a tablet would be my advice.

If your looking for something that you can just plug a thumb drive in with a ton of music, a good head unit will do that fine.

And if you say your looking for a to of gadgets tablet wins again, unless you find the newer head units with BT interface and custom digital gauges appealing.
