I have always changed my own oil .. Even when I had my new engine replaced in my Z and it failed 3 times .. After 3000 miles it started to eat oil again ..Go in there and tell them the truth .. They will make sure your oil is full and tape your oil cap and filter to make sure they are not tampered with during the test .. After a thousand miles they will check your oil .. If it is consuming like you say it is it will be low.. They will order you a new block and hopefully once installed it will solve your problem .. Also you can request a diminished value check from Nissan for the new engine .. They gave me 1000.00 dollars and after countless engines bought the Z back . Since I bought my G new in 08 it has not consumed any oil ... I feel your guys pain .. Such a drawn out process.. Also, stop letting your friends drain your oil ....
