It's a performance part -- it eats up small shocks to the front that would be transferred to the driver and in the rear that would be transferred to the back of the car. Definitely helps keep the car more composed. Curious to see if one in the rear eliminates some wheel hop.
The GT-R has these on in the front and rear too -- not a luxury item any more than rest of the dampers on the car are.
