I personally back into nearly every spot I pull into, unless I pull in through the spot that ends up behind me. Either way, the end result's the same. I find that it's safer for me to drive out of a spot than it is to back out into traffic where I'm half blind.
It's safer and also with my rear back-up camera, there is no guessing how close you are to scraping your front bumper
