I'm with you though, I don't see any need for power seats. But I know others do so I guess Nissan has to try and balance. They assume the purist type will just opt for the base interior.
I don't like power seats because of 1) weight, 2) speed (they are slow!) and 3) they are expensive when they break... and they do break!!!

Nobody drives my Z so I don't fuss with the seats. Maybe what's wrong with the Z is that its not sold in low numbers to enthusiasts ONLY like the S2k was,miata, EVO and WRX STi. I guess that's what makes those cars special.
