This is exactly the point. I'm actually not sure what they are doing is technically legal. My car shouldn't fail it's
emissions test based on a visual inspection if it in fact is well below the
emissions standard, which, btw, is VERY low. My STi--with absolutely no emissions equipment--very nearly passed the sniffer. I could have probably tuned it on the spot to get it to pass. If OEMs can make turbo cars, then there should not be anything to prevent a well-made aftermarket turbo kit on a non-OEM turbo car. It's the stupid California legislature which is corrupt and incompetent.
