Yes, there is an oil temperature issue with the 370Z. Nissan's lack of factory oil cooling has made a lot of 370Z owners install an aftermarket oil cooler kit to keep the temps down under hard driving.

The main issue people had was the test cars that were given to reviewers had an oil cooler installed by Nissan - but production cars didn't get one.

Then Nissan says that it doesn't need a cooler and that installing one would potentiall void the warranty as the car was being "abused" by putting it on the track/competition, which is the only circumstances that the car would need a cooler.

But, rumor has it Nissan is coming out with a cooler kit for the Z...so go fig...
