I gotta tell you, that last little bit disturbs me. Let me state up front that I'm not trying to single you out, ZKindaGuy. The sentiment you express is commonly shared by many people. But it is this commonality of the sentiment that has me shaking my head. Are we really at a point in this society where we just casually and obediently shrug off a state-sanctioned shake-down as no big deal, business as usual? I mean seriously. Shouldn't we be outraged that while we common folk already have to tighten our belts and cut back, our local governments just rub salt into the wound by treating us as an inexhaustible supply of revenue that they can just extort, much like a bully on a playground? When do we say enough is enough?
