I made that mistake -- once -- with one of my 240Z's. It was one of my glaringly brilliant moments.

The fill plug on the trans just would not budge and I had already drained it. The fix involved pulling the tranny out so that I could use a breaker bar with a pipe extension to break it free.

A less than one hour job turned into almost a day very quickly.
