Oil changes and air filters are one thing, but all your short trips are not helping extract the engine's potential. Review your service manual. IIRC anything under at least 5 miles is severe duty.

If you have an opportunity, pull off one of the maf sensors from the intake (don't disconnect any wires). I'm sure the backside will not be so clean.
