This is at least Michael Vick's seventh or eight chance. He would probably still be funding the dogfighting operation if his boys hadn't snitched on him. He lied to Arthur Blank, Roger Goodell, the public, & the feds. Then, while awaiting sentencing, he tested positive for marijuana.

I'm no moralist & I'm not condemning Vick at all. I'm just pointing out this isn't his second... or third... or fourth chance.

His skill was & is A BIG concern-- he never was a very good quarterback & his numbers were declining before he was banned. Kyle Orton has a better career completion percentage. Vick was exciting, sold jerseys, & occasionally won games with his legs, but as I said, his numbers were rapidly declining in his last two years.

Michael Vick

All in all, I'm interested to see how this experiment will work out. I suppose I'm somewhat of an optimist-- I'd like to see Vick redeem himself.
