But in today's world, filled with luxo barges, SUV's, trucks, hybrids and rice-mobiles, I think the Z is a throwback to that ethic. There are not many manufacturers making pure sports cars. Everything is a GT, heavy with cuddly amenities, add-on electric motors, and dozens of CPU's.

I'm not sure how many more pure sports cars we'll see as the world moves to shiny happy green boxes. I wanted to grab mine while I could. I really wanted a Cayman, but after I drove the Z I thought it was much more visceral and fun than the Cayman (just my humble opinion, no slam on the Cayman). Nice to save some money and get exactly what I wanted! Very happy camper!
