Curiously enough, I found this on an XTerra forum...

RF with factory XM only displays 8 characters of song title. Updated 4-30-11 with fix [Archive] - Second Generation Nissan Xterra Forums (2005+)

And this on a Titan forum...

Obviously both Nissans. Sounds like exactly the same problem I'm seeing. Curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I will try the start-in-FM-switch-to-SAT plan and see if that makes a difference.
