Absolutely agree with you on the last part. I personally keep it on all the time. Only turned it off couple times since I got the car to see if I can shift smoothly enough w/out it, and the answer is...never. There's just simply no way a driver can match the engine rev as well as the computer.

I could get hooked on it and lose my foot "touch", that is why i dont turn it on.
BTW OP: You don't fool yourself , you cant be better than syncro. You can be as good at times but u cant be better because its revmatches are perfect.
