HAHAH, no it was safe, no worries. Didn't need to remove the tires so didn't want extra work. I put 2 bricks under the tire when jacked up, would give me just enough space if car fell down!
I actually had an SUV come down on me and I always have the tire under the car as well, saved my life! I was cutting rear control arms to replace to polybushings.
