that would help!

Dragonbreath makes some good points. For instance my wife never understood why I wanted the 370 more then moving to a nicer larger home at this point in my life. But for me I was fine living in our starter home a few more years so I could buy my car before we have kids. Still no kids and car should be paid off before I have any so once we do move I will have my 370 as my garage queen. Not to mention once my reducilous payments on my Z are done then I could buy another new used car(2-3 year old car) which would be much more affordable then a $50k+ car (Canadian prices) that I only put 15k down on! Where as my next car purchase will be for a dd that will probably only cost 15-25k which is much more reasonable.

As for the affording a home thing. If people are paying rent, they can afford a mortgage. It's just a matter of what their credit looks like! That's the only thing that would hold you back.
