Saying we wont know anything about the car until 2 years down the road is probably not accurate. The fa20 isn't a dramatic departure from anything in the past(and appears to simply be a stroked fa16). Besides the factory support, Subaru actually has aftermarket enthusiasts....

Reliability has almost the exact same history as the 370Z according to J. D. Powers. I think optimism has run amuck here! A 2012 small sports car that has virtually the same performance envelope of a 2004 small sports car for virtually the same price? Not that impressed...it's, however, very pretty.
This is akin to bringing out a 370Z with the same performance window as the 350Z and calling it a success! I do have faith that subaru will turbo theirs and at that point, it will be worth looking at.
