wait, so you guys are saying that i don't need to even unbolt the three nuts up top that hold the coilover to the car?

Baer, that top ring you're saying to use the spanner wrench on, that adjusts the preload. So you're saying NOT to unlock those preload rings, just grab onto them as a torque point to rotate the strut? This won't move or change the preload setting?

I get that the bottom needs to stay in place if you're doing this as this will raise/lower the coilover, but what about the three bolts up top? Does that top plate rotate independently of the rest of the coilover?

I assume I would also need to unbolt the brake line bracket as well as remove those 4 grommets, correct? And you're saying there's still enough space inside for the unit to rotate without getting stuck on anything?
