Well that's just the smart thing to do... own the patent and license the beta testing to someone else.
FWIW, the GT500 is the second car to use it in production. I'm sure Ford had the Nissan engineers report back on how it was working out for them. My NISMO 5.0 doesn't seem too far fetched now, does it?
