regarding the trickle charger, i'd suggest you get one that has float mode like the BatteryTender sold at amazon.  trickle chargers tend to over-charge and prematurely kills the battery. ive been using the battery tender (manager) for many years with much success.  |

I'll definitely check with my buddy to see how the charger is set up...last thing I want is to get stranded sometime next summer
