Why is that the 370z NISMO can't do that?
Funny thing... you all that remember the 0-60 Z track record thread would have noticed the NISMO speed record in stock form thus far is 4.5/12/.9. So that in itself beats at least the 60 time of the M1. Which I saw motorweek and they got 5.1 for the 1M. Seems like it accelerates on par with the Z in stock form. The torque advantage comes from turbos.

Now notice every car you are dragging into the comparo is $20-30k more expensive than the NISMO. Japan has a leather NISMO????? Then be original and order one straight from japan. You said you are willing to spend 46k right??? Well get a lightly used one for 35k in japan and use the other 11 k and bring it over. See now you'll be the man.
So the NISMO has leather. Order JDM NISMO seats.
The only thing our NISMO truly needs right now is more power and weight reduction. As far as 1M having more torque. Its a turbo. You are making comparisons that can't be really made under the circumstances.
Remeber a base/manual is 32k a base manual sport is 35k. That's pretty cheap for the performance level that matches a 60k porsche. The NISMO and touring are 40k.

Earlier you brought up oil heating issues. You know the 12 is now oil cooled right? Though not many changes have occured, the Z has been tweaked for better bump absorption, some engine rasp reduction and in cabin volume. Throttle response has increased a little bit. And when you spend $100 on a pair of K&N filters. The Z throttle response increases to decent levels. " I'm NOT saying there's not room for improvement." But what you want is like 75% unnecessary for a performance car @ the price range. You are completely neglecting price range with the Z. And its been proven in the 90's that the Z won't sell with porsche pricing.
If you're so impressed with BMW performance ? You can always throw in a bimmer in your stable.
