I was previously told to shut up cuz I don't own a 370z.
Me owning a vq engine altima. N having just sold my G35 to make money for my Z didn't mean anything. Nor did the fact that I helped my cousin mod his 08 G37 n hav gone with him to all mechanic appointments just to get a feel for the way this displacement acts.
The VQ35 and 37 to me are still extremely similar except that the VQ35 has less quirks.
My thoughts on the complaints that a lot of people make r just like urs.
I may not own a Z "YET". BUT AT LEAST I KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT.
I do my research. Its a daily and consistant process. From reading to hands on to taking multiple test drives.
The only other car I'm considering is a genesis coupe track. I'm on my 4th test drive.
I just finished my third with the Z. That's y on these 2 cars I feel I can comment.
Not only that but I used to sell nissans. I never sold a 370z but I sold 350's.
Dealing with customers constantly u get to kno how is it these cars r truly perform.
You hear praises n complaints daily.
The problem here is that some of these guys think that modding ur car is knowing ur car. But u don't know ur car until u drove it 1 year unmodded. U don't even know how your car truly performs. They don't kno that most VQ's get faster on there own after 5k miles. And that is the best time to mod the car with an intake n exhaust.
I might not have all the lingo down pact. But I kno what to do n wen to do it.
I spent my life around imports muscle cars motor bikes. N race tracks.
2 members of my family are racers. One drag another does autocross.
My background is illegal street racing. Which I "just" stopped long ago.
But I honed the driving skillzz of my cars.
If u guys took the time to learn the car instead of tryin to be a55h0l3 #1 on the block wit a modded Z. You guys wouldn't be cryin n moanin so much.
N like I said once b4. Leave 1st year cars to the true enthusiasts. They r the ones that will void warranty day 1. They are the ones that find out what's wrong n assisting in the improvent of these cars.
2nd year cars are better for novice drivers. Because companies have worked out 75% of the kinks n quirks. By year 3 you are looking at 97% of quirks gone.
Unless ur a enthusiast and/or a diy mechanic. 1st year cars should be avoided.
So the forums don't get filled with non existant problems.
