Just finished the install of the shift knob. Love the way this thing looks. It fits in very well with the Z interior. Thanks everyone for the tips on removing the stock shift knob. Using the vice grips and strap wrench made it really easy to remove.

To get a better fit between the boot and the shift knob I cut out the top of a water bottle and replaced the factory ring that is used to hold up the boot. The smaller ring makes the boot sit higher on the shifter and makes the shift knob look more flush with the boot. There is no need for the O rings if you decide to do this. Here are some pics.
