I donno, I think in the very long run the 7AT is probably more maintenance hassle. It's just a lot more likely to need a rebuild/replacement. AT's in general are just more failure prone than MTs, there's a lot more moving parts and wear items involved. Add to that the fact that so far you can't even check and change your own fluid on the 7AT due to the Consult-III dealership temp thing.
