Nice, going for the Nismo. I'm sure dealerships see the Nismo as their highest margin selling car. Only a few on dealer lots, sometimes not at all. So if they're going to sell a Nismo, they're going to either get their price or sell at a slight discount. Those cars will always run over 40k with taxes and fees plus the costs of financing (in California). My advice, do the best you can getting them down to a price you feel most comfortable. It's not an easy car to negotiate. Now if you were looking for a base model, piece of cake. They have plenty of those. A base model with sports package, a bit easier but they have a stronger stance. Now the Nismo... they know not too many dealers will have them on their lots, and know that if you're interested in a Nismo, you are a serious about the 370z. If I were to buy the Nismo here in Cali, after taxes/fees, I'd expect to at least pay around 42k. Always in their show room too... good luck, let us know what happens.
