The WRX arrived in 01, and the STi followed 2 years later. Expect a repeat for the introduction of the BRZ.
BTW.. I would much rather own a supercharged vehicle for the sake of throttle response, but I'm certain Subaru won't just slap on the turbo and cooler like Toyota can with a supercharger.. STi trim has always come with a beefed up chassis and engine.

You know STI is a subgroup, not a trim level, right?
The NA BRZ will be badged with the Subaru Technica International banging from the start, since STI collaborated on the build. There may be a turbo version later, but it won't be BRZ vs BRZ STI to differentiate.
