Tighten the nut on the top hat now that the weight of the car is compressing the springs. Hold the strut with vice grips and use an open ended wrench to tighten the nut. I had similar issues because mine wasn't tight when I installed the spring over the strut. I thought it was tight at the time.

Did you install the plastic piece from your OEM springs? It sits on the top of the coil spring. Lube up the end links and strut bar rubber cushions. Just a thought
