is your car a dd? if so you might prefer gloss as it's easier to clean the brake dust off. also if you wax your wheels, satin turns pretty glossy.
i would also suggest buying the 40th wheels new from one of the vendors here.
im sure you can find a local buyer for your stock wheels if you choose to sell. i'd keep it though just in case you have a flat or something.
