Try this initially, leave it off for about 5 minutes before connecting to make sure the system is completely discharged. Then try it again, if not... best bet is to go to either a shop or get your own reader to clear the code.
If you want to prevent it from happening again, if you feel like taking your o2 sensors out again, you can stake some medium coarseness Steel Wool and put some in the o2 bung to block some of the gasses from hitting the sensor. It's what I did and worked like a champ.

A Code
Reader is just to read codes, you'll need something that specifically
clears them too. It should say it on the box I believe.
Places like Autozone, unless you get a good guy, aren't allowed to clear codes if they read them. They can only tell you 'You have a code'. Or maybe it was just the guy I was working with the time I went that didn't want to press 3 buttons...
...go figure.
