Default CF-anyone else find this ironic?

Lemme say I'm not a CF hater or anything - might do a few pieces myself.

But don't you find it ironic that we overlay / wrap / cover all this stuff with a product that it's main advantage is weight savings? So we're making stuff heavier...with a product that is designed for lightness. Now I know it's all about aesthetics and copying racing cars (where it is used for weight), but I just find it funny. And I guess the other advantage is strength - I'm sure it's important to have super strong console covers.

Just curious as to if anyone else has noticed this?
