Aaanyway..Super excited to finally be typing this. For as long as I remember I've wanted to modify a car beyond the basic bolt ons and never got the chance to do so because of time or resources. Before getting the Z I have now I already had my mind set on going FI. I've spent the last few months asking members questions, talking to vendors and gathering parts.
I've been contemplating the idea of doing the install myself, as you can see on my journal I try to DIY as much as I can. It's heaps of fun, it teaches you a lot about your car and it gives you the peace of mind that someone is not half a$$ing the project... Unfortunately, I don't think I have the time to tackle this. So I am talking to shops right now about pricing, time frame and pretty much getting to know who I will be trusting my car to.
Anyway, last night I talked to Sam and the kit is supposed to be shipped Friday. I still have a couple of misc items I need to get and stuff to do/organize before the car goes under the knife. I will keep you guys updated as things move along.
My main goal on this build is not chasing a number, I am after doing things right the first time.

I should be getting some vacuum hose, the DEI fire wrap, Z1 silicone and fluids this week. As soon as the kit arrives I will be taking the exhaust parts for coating. Once they are back and I figure something out for transport to get me to work, the car will be going to the shop... Stay tuned and wish me luck!
