Welcome

When I was younger and learning how to drive manual my dad taught me to hold the e-brake up on hills and slowly release the clutch and gas until I felt the clutch grabbing then slowly lower the e-brake. It helps with not freaking out that you're going to roll backwards and hit the guy behind you which in turn helps you focus.
