I honestly didn't notice a night and day difference. It doesn't sound any louder imo, but with my go pro mounted on the front bumper, i could hear the intake at lower speeds on video.

I'll just remove it completely, no cutting needed
If it is too loud i can always put the original muffler back on. But I doubt i will be bothered by it. I'm also going to get the tripod adapter for the gopro and try doing a time lapse video of the removal and installation
