8" sub will not fit flush with the hatch floor. This area is only 7" wide and 7" deep. If you raise the sub box above the hatch floor a couple of inches or less, then you can install a 8" sub.
JL Audio 6W3v3 will fit with no problem flush with the hatch floor.
