The Z could easily be at least 200 lbs lighter... but getting there would have probably added a few grand to the cost.
3200-3300 is adequate given its power and torque, and not wildly far off the weight of similar but pricier cars (e.g., various Porsches)
If there was a way to get the Z down to < 3K lbs (without a hack saw) this car would be perfect!
Maybe there'll be some good power upgrades for the < 2700 lb FR-S that will be coming out soon...
