Nissan Recalls 2011 370Z and 2011-'12 Infiniti G37 Coupe
WASHINGTON — Nissan is recalling 1,788 2011 Nissan 370Zs and 2011-'12 Infiniti G37 Coupes because of a defective power window switch controller, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
"Due to a programming error, the power window switch controller was manufactured out of specification," said NHTSA in its recalls summary of the problem. "The auto-reverse feature of the power windows does operate; however, should a body part become trapped by a closing window, a pinch injury may result before the window reverses."
In documentation filed with the federal government, Nissan attributed the defect to "a supplier programming error that has since been corrected."
Nissan and Infiniti dealers will replace the power window switches. The recall is expected to begin on November 28. Owners can contact Nissan at (800) 647-7261 or Infiniti at (800) 662-6200.
