SEOUL, South Korea — Hyundai showed off the face-lifted 2013 Genesis Coupe to the Korean press this weekend, with the U.S. debut slated for the 2012 Detroit Auto Show in January.
The updated Genesis Coupe made its first public showing at the Korea Speed Festival 2011 in Yeongam, after Hyundai released the first official images of the car on its Facebook page.
For model year 2013, the car gets a new face that resembles the more aggressive look of the new Veloster, with redesigned grille, headlamps and bumper.
But the big news is under the hood, where Hyundai has upgraded both engine offerings.
The base engine, a turbocharged 2.0-liter direct-injection four-cylinder, now makes 275 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, compared with 210 hp and 223 lb-ft for the 2012 model. The uplevel engine is a 3.8-liter direct-injection V6, which now delivers 350 hp and 295 lb-ft, compared with 306 hp and 266 lb-ft for the outgoing engine.

It look hideous, but take a look at the HP numbers they got after Direct Injection.... Nissan needs to step it up ASAP.
