Default What Would You Do? Need Opinions Please

Hi,

Do I get the 09 Z or a 2010? Both would only have the miles it came with from the factory. A dealer five hours from our home, in another state, has the car I want ( Base, 7AT, Brilliant Silver, Splash Guards and Floor Mats). The dealer is holding it for me. It came in yesterday. The 2010 I would order.

My spouse thinks I should wait and get a 2010. Spouse:
--Would rather pay a little more ($1,000-1,500) and get a car that is a year newer.
--If I order a 2010 and say it comes in in Jan., because of our weather/heavily sanded roads where we live, I probably wouldn't drive it until mid-March. Spouse doesn't see what the big deal is to wait until March. ( all I can think is that it's 7 months away!)
--Feels I am paying a high price for a car that is assentuallly a year old. Feels "left overs" should go for less.
--Knows if I get the 09 I would probably only drive it now for 3 possibly 3 1/2 months before putting it up for the winter. It would probably be in our garage Dec.- mid-March due to weather/roads. Doesn't make sense to my spouse.

Question:
--Should I wait and order a 2010 and get it in the Spring, OR wait a bit and see if, I know this is a big if, there are any cars left on the lots that are the color and have the specs I want that dealers are "trying" to move because 2010 models are coming in OR should I buy the 2009 that the dealer is holding for me?

Please give me your thoughts. It is always good to hear what others think that aren't involved in the actual situation.

There will be no trade in. Not financing so don't have to worry about any change in interest rates between now and later.

Other Info.:
I have wanted a sports car since I was a teenager, but could never afford one until now. I am in my late 40's. I fell for the Z when it first came out in 2003 and that hasn't changed. I debated between a used 2007 Enth. 350Z, to save money, or a base 2009 370. Decided on the 370 because I am quite sure this will be the only sports car I ever own. I really like the looks of the 370Z and the interior changes. I am planning on keeping the Z for a long time. My spouse is not into cars. We always buy used with high miles.

I could have had the same car a week ago from a dealer that is in our state and only 1 hr. 45 min. from us, spouse prefers this, but didn't move on it because I was waiting to hear from another dealer because we heard their prices were really good--forum member got great deal there. This dealer couldn't give the price until they knew what their hold back was and what their incentives from Nissan were. This dealer came in at the same price as the other dealer. but now the close Z isn't available.( Would have had to have dealer get it from ground stock--waited too long so is no longer available. I have called a ton of dealers, up to 8 hrs, away, and these two were the best price.

Thanks.
