If you have a non-warranty issue during the warranty period, you pay through the nose on it. If you have any issue after warranty, you pay through the nose for it.
I'm not saying cheaper car companies are any more or less reliable, but when your cheap azz Fiord breaks down, it's a more survivable hit to the wallet.
