IMHO, this canned tune isn't all that great, but I guess it's a starting point. After that, you can datalog your car on some runs with UpRev's Cipher software, send the data logs to them, and get a better custom tune for your car via their eTune program (I believe you get 5 free eTunes with the license). An eTune still isn't as good as a live, in-person dyno tune, but it's better than nothing and better than anyone's canned tune.
If you only buy Standard, basically all you can do is Cipher data logging, and loading tune files sent to you by others (tuners, UpRev). So e.g. when your eTune is set up, you'll need to tell them exactly what you want in it (in terms of alternate maps, using one or more for security/valent-mode, etc). If you buy the Tuner license, you could still get an eTune from them as a baseline for the timing and A:F stuff, but then you can also tweak the tune file on your own. You probably don't want to mess with their timing/af setup unless you know what you're doing, but it does give you the freedom to play with throttle maps, try out turning ETC off, set your own rev/speed limits on the various maps, change idle speed, disable DTCs, etc.
