Well, the reason I want to stick with SC stage 1 is more like reliability.
I know that GTM build quality is excellent and reliable but you never know for a long run yet.
If the power limit is 100%, I would not push to 100% just in case.
My preference is not too go far with NA car.
Even if I do get an Evo, I would end up with small turbo upgrade to push out 450awhp.
After driving my friend's R35 with 900awhp, I know that I will not use that much power nor do I need it.
Somewhere between 400~450 whp sounds very sufficient for my appetite
After writing this thread and reading other people's input, I AM debating my own-made car vs slower but better quality stock

Is it as practical based on Mx costs... well, thats between you and your wallet.
I just have a better feeling coming from a car that I buy and make my own, vs having the same car as every other person who pulls off the lot. But if being able to say you have reached the stability and status to afford to drive that beautiful machine, then go for it. You're the driver and in the end, it's your $$$ spent.
Now AWD vs RWD, well that's a whole nother debate right there lol
And if you have the money to buy an M3 by chance, why only stop at Stage 1 SC? In looking to get the Evo or M3, you're admitting you like more power. And the Stage 1 might not suit your appetite... just something to think about.
