Apparently these 370s (and 350s) have had oil consumption issues in some of the engines. Well looks like mine was one of them. the car got low on oil a couple thousand miles after an oil change at the nissan dealer and started making a clicking sound. I took it into a Nissan Dealer here in town and they told me it sounded like a spun rod bearing. Anyway they got in touch with Nissan who sent out a whole new engine, and replaced it under warranty. The whole process only took about a week and the car runs and sounds like new. The New engine carries on the same 80,000 warranty that the old did so no worries about that I have all the documentation from inspection to oil changes to the warranty work.
excellent response, the VQ is somewhat notorious for oil consumption in between oil changes, I have heard this from multiple techs at my local Nissan dealer! +rep
