I, for one, don't hate on the Z, nor have I likened its transmission to garbage. But, you are in denial if you act like they never had problems. Maybe yours is fine (mine was too, for the most part), but a number of the 2009s had well documented synchro issues. Many transmissions were replaced or repaired.
It appears the transmission issues were fixed on the later model years.
You did bring up a good point in a previous post, where you attributed some of the transmission complaints to inexperienced users. While the synchro problems were legitimate, there are a lot of complaints from inexperienced drivers about the clutch chatter and the loud throwout bearing in neutral... there is nothing mechanically wrong going on there that would ever lead to a failure, it's just noise that people aren't used to.
The same is true for the MT82 -- there are a lot of people coming over from other cars that have never felt a notchy cold shift or a little bit of whine in their lives before. That's not to say there were never any legitimate issues with the transmission, as there are have been a number of replacements for 2011 models, and there has probably been some undocumented revision to the transmission for 2012+, just like there probably was with the 370 in/after 2009.
There are a number of people here that seem to take
any criticism of the Z as hate. A lot of those people are the same ones that openly hate on the 5.0, in the 5.0 thread, and get their panties in a wad at the mere sight of some slight non-hateful criticism.
