I did the G37 coupe on a hot day just like you did... Same problem you had. I found that it was best to spray around 70-90 degrees in the shade... It allowed the particles to lay flat and not dry too fast... yours definitely dried too fast and the particles as such couldnt lay flat.

Appreciate the advice, but I want a gloss finish for the roof and not the flat finish from the plasti dip. Tried to spray a clear coat over the plasti dip, which is where the real issue came up with the high temps. It left a white residue when it dried.

On second thought, I will probably get vinyl rather than paint. I do plan on selling the Z in a few years so I would just have to pay to get it re-painted back to factory color. With the vinyl I could just take it off myself and use the money I save to get my tint redone
