I used to live in Covington (up unitl April this year), and the local dealer there rarely had more than one or two cars in stock. I recall seeing more G37 coupes than 370Z's around there.

I bought mine in Bryan/College Station and all they had were a couple 2010's. My car was bound for Houston before I snagged it. I also see about twice as many G37's as 370Z's.
To OP about shipping. The problem I ran into is that until the car is at the dealer...no one seems to be able to track the things. It gets off the boat, stored at port, loads onto a train and ships to a destination warehouse. Once there they have 5-7 days to unload it from the train, then it can sit in the warehouse for another 5-7 before it is picked up to be transported to the dealer. From the time they found out mine was on the train, it took over 3 weeks for it to get to me. I was amazed at how crappy tracking is on a $40,000+ car. I've gotten better tracking on a $2 ebay part.
