i heard they had to make a few roadgoing versions of the race cars to pass hamoligation rules just like porsche with it's street versions of the 996 GT1. try a google search before spouting info

Perhaps I should have been more specific with regard to the R390 and stated that "Nissan has always called its
production, road-going sports cars Fairlady. And, I beg to differ but cars with back seats are not sports cars. They are more appropriately called "GT", but they are not true sports cars.
